September marks the start of Organic September, a month-long initiative founded by the Soil Association that champions organic farming, products and its benefits to people and the planet. At Trading Post Coffee Roasters, we’re proud to get behind this campaign and share why we believe organic coffee is worth your attention, and why we always have a certified organic blend in our offering - Green Monkey.

What Does Organic Mean in Coffee?

Organic coffee is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, with a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity and sustainable farming methods. This means that organic farms work with nature rather than against it, helping to maintain healthy ecosystems and reduce environmental impact.

While we’re proud to offer certified organic options like Green Monkey, we also take great care in sourcing all of our coffees responsibly. All of our other artisan blends are Rainforest Alliance Certified, supporting sustainable agriculture, environmental protection and improved livelihoods for coffee-growing communities.

We know that sustainability doesn’t come in a one-size-fits-all package, and we’re committed to making considered, ethical choices across our entire range.
